Ingredients

Oreo Crust
  • 25 Oreos (any flavor)
  • 4 tbsp butter (salted or unsalted)
Key Lime Pie Filling
  • 4 egg yolks
  • 14 oz sweetened condensed milk
  • ½ cup key lime juice (about 6 key limes)
Whipped Cream (Optional)
  • 1 cup heavy whipping cream
  • 1 tbsp powdered sugar

Equipment

  • 9 inch pie dish (9.5 works too)

Method

Oreo Crust
  1. Blend your Oreos into powder in a blender or food processer. Melt butter and mix it into the Oreos. Spread it into a 9 inch pie dish. Put in the fridge for 30 minutes.
Key Lime Pie Filling
  1. Separate egg yolks from the whites. Put the yolks in a large mixing bowl, and beat them for a few minutes.
  2. Add sweetened condensed milk, beat for a few more minutes. Add key lime juice, and combine thoroughly.
  3. Pour filling into your prepared pie crust. Cover, and put in the fridge or freezer until it sets, about 3 hours.
Whipped Cream (Optional)
  1. Pour heavy whipping cream into a mixing bowl. Beat with a whisk until peaks begin to form, then add sugar. Keep whisking until the peaks are stiff. Serve with pie.
